Compliance Unit

The Compliance Unit ensures the adherence to both internal and external rules, controls and policies guiding operations in the hospital. It also work to maintain integrity by ensuring that all departments and employees in the hospital comply with internal policies and government regulations guiding the discharge of duties and responsibilities.
The Units primary responsibility entails protecting the interest of the hospital in all ramifications.

Our Duties and Services

1. Enforcing Standard
The Unit enforces compliance standards.

2. Monitoring
The unit regularly conducts reviews of hospital operations, such as task assignment, work progress, and service quality, to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities. Similarly, it proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could lead to fraud, waste, abuse, or other violations.

3. Fostering a Culture of Compliance
Our major goal is to cultivate a culture of compliance throughout the hospital, where every employee understands their role in upholding ethical and legal standards.

4. Investigations and Corrective Action
Investigating Suspected Violations: When potential violations are reported, the compliance unit conducts thorough and confidential investigations. This may involve interviewing employees and reviewing records. After an investigation, they work with other departments and leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans to address the root cause of the issue and prevent it from recurring.

5. Providing Reporting Channels
It establish and manage effective lines of communication that allow employees to report concerns or suspected violations confidentially and without fear of retaliation. The Unit report regularly to the Medical Director on the status of the compliance programme and any significant issues.

Profile

Mr Bolaji Joseph is an experience public servant with over 24 years of experience in the public service. He has functioned in various capacities ranging from Committee Chairman, Hospital Administrator, Unit Head and mentor to upcoming administrators. He has grown on the job from his early beginning as an Admin Officer to the post of an Assistant Chief Accountant.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Ado-Ekiti now Ekiti State University. He has attended so many conferences and workshops in his drive to hone his skills and knowledge.

Education
He started his early education at St. Andrews Anglican Primary School, Itaji-Ekiti from 1980 to 1985. After completing his early education, he proceeded to National High School where he obtained his Ordinary Level Certificate (WAEC). In 1990, he proceeded to Ondo State Polytechnic to study Accountancy at National Diploma level where he graduated in 1993.
Afterward he secured admission to University of Ado-Ekiti to study Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from where he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2002.
