Cardiology
The Cardiology unit provides a broad range of services in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all types of cardiovascular diseases. The unit provides a wide range of services, from routine check-ups to advanced procedures like cardiac ablation, heart surgery and coronary angioplasty. Cardiologists within this unit are experts in managing various heart conditions, including arrhythmias, heart failure, and coronary artery disease.

Nephrology
Urology is one of the units in the department of internal medicine. It provides healthcare that deals with diseases and conditions that affect the male and female urinary tract, this include the kidney, bladder, ureter, urethra. It also handles issues affecting the male reproductive organ ranging from prostate enlargement to kidney stone.

Endocrinology
Our goal is to provide qualitative care to patients with endocrine disorder, advance the understanding of endocrinology through research and development, and train the future generation of specialists in the field. Endocrinology is one of the foundational units in Internal Medicine that came to be with the establishment of FMC Ikole-Ekiti in July 2024. The Unit has since inception of operation catered for the health needs of patients suffering from endocrine diseases and metabolic diseases. In endocrinology, we have certified consultants who specialize in diagnosing, treating and managing conditions such as, diabetes, hormonal imbalance and thyroid disorder.

Geriatrics
Our goal is to be a reference centre of excellence in the care of the elderly while deploying the latest knowledge and expertise in geriatric care in meeting the diverse medical needs of our most senior citizens. We provide holistic care for elderly patients (aged 60 years and above) in both our outpatient and inpatient clinics. We specialize in the assessment and management of geriatric conditions which include cognitive decline, mobility issues, heart disease, hearing loss and many other age related ailments.

Dr. Babatunde Rosiji is a distinguished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in the Nigerian healthcare sector.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in 2005.
He acquired the Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in 2014 and has special interests in gynaecologocal endoscopy and artificial reproductive techniques.
Professional Background
Dr. Rosiji has served in various capacities across the private sector, secondary, and tertiary healthcare levels. After a stint in the private sector, he joined the Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board in 2016 and subsequently became the Chief Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital Ikole-Ekiti, a position he held for 8 years. During his tenure, he provided strategic leadership that led to structural developments that contributed to the hospital’s upgrade to a Federal Medical Centre.
