The Commanding Officer of 148 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Lt. Col. S.A Inusa has associated Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Ikole-Ekiti with excellent services.
He made this known during a visit to the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti, Prof. Johnson Dare Ogunlusi on Monday, 9th February, 2025.
Lt. Col. S.A Inusa in his remark during the visit, acknowledged the important role the hospital has been playing in providing prompt and qualitative healthcare to members of the Armed Forces within the area of command of the Battalion.
Lt. Col. S.A Inusa who was represented by the Officer in Charge of Medicals, 148 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Lt. J.A. Kunya said the hospital has shown immense capacity in providing prompt and qualitative care to soldiers from the Battalion, adding that all the soldiers treated at the facility have spoken highly of quality of care available at the hospital and the outcome of every case has been impressive.
“All our soldiers that we have brought to this hospital for treatment have received excellent medical attention leading to quick recovery. These positive outcomes have excited the leadership of the Battalion,” he added.
Speaking further, he said the purpose of the visit was to establish a formal relationship with the hospital with the aim of attending to the medical needs of soldiers and also to support the security needs of the hospital.
He also assured the Medical Director that as part of the Battalion’s efforts in ensuring a secured society, it plans to establish a security outpost in the Hospital to complement the existing internal security arrangement.
Prof. J.D. Ogunlusi, while responding to the request by the Commanding Officer, thanked the leadership of 148 Battalion for identifying and associating with the qualitative healthcare service available at Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti, stressing that excellence in healthcare delivery is one of the hospital’s core values.
On the request for collaboration, he stated that the hospital is willing and ready to collaborate with the military formation in terms of service delivery and other key areas that will be beneficial to both the hospital and the military.
“We are open to collaborations that will foster mutual relationship and as well improve the quality of our service. We hope that this relationship will be a reference point for civil-military relationship,” he stated.
