Administration

The administrative department oversees the day-to-day non-clinical operations, ensuring smooth coordination among various units. It manages human resources, finances, facility maintenance, patient records, and regulatory compliance. This department supports both medical staff and patients by handling scheduling, communication, billing, and logistics. Its primary goal is to maintain organizational efficiency, uphold hospital policies, and provide a well-structured environment for quality healthcare delivery.

Our Duties and Services

We oversee the day-to-day running of the hospital. The department is responsible for the following functions:

  • Provision of management and support services to other departments for the smooth running of the hospital.
  • Handling of recruitment processes from recruitment to on-boarding, training, and exit.
  • Provision of support to Management to ensure compliance with extant laws guiding the operations of the hospital.
  • Scheduling meetings and providing secretariat services to Management and Board meetings.
  • Handling internal and external correspondence between the Management and members of staff or external bodies.
  • Liaising with relevant agencies and departments such as IPPIS, FMBN, NHIA, PENCOM and others on staff welfare.
  • Keeping records of all forms of documents, including confidential and non-confidential files.

Profile

Fayigbe Abayomi David is a Public Administrator and Human Resource professional with over 21 years of experience in personnel management and public administration in the Public Health Sector. He is focused on Personnel Management and Public Policy formulation and implementation. He started his career at Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti, now Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti, and over the years he has distinguished himself in service, learning, administration, and management of human and material resources. He is currently the Acting Head of Administration, Federal Medical Center, Ikole-Ekiti

Education
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ekiti State University and a Master of Public Administration from the same University and another Master of Personnel Psychology from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Work Experience

Fayigbe Abayomi David started his professional career in 2004 as an Admin Officer II with Federal Medical Center, Ido-Ekiti, now Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti. He held several leadership and administrative positions from 2004 to 2024 which include

  • Secretary to the Top Management Committee, 2004-2013.
  • Head of Budget and Planning Unit, 2013-2014.
  • Head of General Admin Unit, 2014-2015.
  • Head of Admin Unit, Hospital Annex Office, Ado-Ekiti, 2015-2016.
  • Head of Registry Unit, 2016-2017.
  • He has, over the years, by commitment, dedication to duty, and determination, risen through the ranks to become the Assistant Director of Administration and Administrative Assistant to the Chief Medical Director, Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti. A position he held from 2018 until his recent appointment as the Acting Head of Administration, Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti, in 2024.
