The Internal audit of the Federal Medical Centre, Ikole Ekiti is saddled with responsibilities to ensure independent and objective assessment, risk management, good corporate governance, and other internal control processes. It also ensures effective operations and supports the hospital to achieve its core objectives.

Our Duties

  • Evaluating and Improving Operations

    We review various aspects of the hospital’s activities, including financial statements, operational processes, and compliance with laws and regulations. We initiate improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

  • Risk Management

    We play a key role in helping the hospital identify, assess, and manage risks. This includes mitigating risks related to cybersecurity, data security, fraud, and compliance.

  • Compliance

    We ensure that the hospital complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Fraud Investigation

    We investigate and report on any instances of fraud or financial irregularities.

  • Advisory Services

    We provide advisory services by helping management improve processes and practices.

  • Supporting Management

    We work closely with management to identify areas for improvement and proffer solutions to identified challenges. We also support management in developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote transparency and accountability.

Profile

Fatodu Adebayo B is an experienced internal auditor with a background in Banking, Finance, and Accountancy. He has a proven track record of ensuring compliance and implementing effective financial controls in healthcare services.

– BSc Banking and Finance, University of Ado, 2009.

-Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Accountancy, Nigerian College of Accountancy. 2020

Fatodu is the Acting Head of Internal Audit, Federal Medical Centre, Ikole Ekiti where he has leveraged his experience in ensuring compliance and advising the management on risk assessment.
