Physiotherapy department is concerned with the treatment, management and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and other physical and cognitive conditions to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.

We are dedicated to promoting quality of life and healthy mobility function in terms of promoting, preventing, treating and rehabilitating patients using the latest therapeutic evidence base of practice.

Our Duties and Services

Units

The department consists of a team of highly skilled and experienced physiotherapists trained to assess, evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of conditions affecting movement and pain related problems.

Hours of Operation

8:00am-4:00pm, Monday – Friday

Weekend call duties.

Profile

Abolarin Oladapo is an experienced physiotherapist with over years of experience in providing the highest level of patient care. He has expert knowledge in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. His journey to the practice of physiotherapy care started in 2009 at Federal Medical Centre, Ido where he was engaged as a trainee. He has over the years sharpened his skills with practical experience from Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State, and Ekiti State Hospital Management Board, where he was the Head of Department of Physiotherapy, State Specialist Hospital, Ikole Ekiti. Abolarin Oladapo is the current HOD Physiotherapy Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti.

Education
He holds a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Education Osun State, and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State.

  • Member, Nigeria Union of Allied Professionals.

Work Experience
Abolarin Oladapo’s career started in 2009 as an Intern Physiotherapist with Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State. He afterward got a full time employment with Ekiti State Hospital Management Board as a Physiotherapist with the State Specialist Hospital, Ikole-Ekiti. He was the Head of Department, Physiotherapy, State Specialist Hospital, Ikole Ekiti, from 2014 to 2024. With the conversion of the State Specialist Hospital, Ikole-Ekiti, to Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti, he retained his position as the Head of Department.
